Torah Study

Shabbat Morning Torah Study is held on Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. in the Temple Youth Lounge and on Zoom. Study concludes in time for our Shabbat morning service, which begins at 10:30 a.m. Check your weekly Temple Emeth email for log-in details. 

On Shabbat morning April 26 at 9:00 am, join us in the Youth Lounge or on Zoom when our Torah Study class will take a break from the Torah (perfectly timed because we finished the Book of Genesis last week) and instead study the scroll for Passover, Song of Songs. No bagels this week, but Passover goodies will be served in the Youth Lounge. If you are accustomed to bringing your Hebrew Bible with translation and commentary by Robert Alter, bring the volume of “The Writings” this week. You can preview the text by clicking here.

No prior knowledge of the Tanakh or Hebrew is necessary to appreciate the modern lessons the Tanakh offers.
